『Platero y yo』 is the representative work of Jiménez, and we have literary traits and popular features because it tells us that it won the Nobel Prize for Literature. The beginning of this work is the critical sense of modern industrial capitalism, which is inhumane, and the problem of modern solitude and alienation. The book, which explores alternative urban life and explores harmonious and meaningful life, is a counterargument to the belief that mainly values efficiency or rationality, such as practical value and new capitalism. Jiménez experiences Moguer’s daily life and helps him avoid asking questions about ‘political and marginal life’. He makes us feel the rising sun, the rain, and the meaning of living with nature again. In this regard, the slow and relaxing combination with nature is not Jiménez’s portrayal of “forced” but rather his actual disregard or escape. It’s about being clean and returning to being inherently corrupt.
