본 논문은 인본주의에서 초인본주의로 옮겨가는 다문화적 다지능 시대를 다룬다. 자연지능과 인공지능이 공존하는 다가오는 다문화에 대한 복음주의의 응답으로, 인공지능에 대한 유토피아적 예찬론이나 디스토피아적 위기론보다는 신중론을 제시할 것이다. 먼저, 우리 주변에 이미 도래해 있는 인공지능에 대해 살핀다. 다음으로, 레이 커즈와일을 포함한 트랜스휴머니스트들의 주요 주장인 신바벨탑 건설과 무한생명주의(extropianism), 그리고 기계 인류(Machina Sapiens)를 통한 인신화(theosis)를 성경적, 전통적, 현대적 측면에서 비판적으로 평가한다. 마지막은 인공지능에 대한 윤리적 신학적 대응 촉구로써 연구를 마무리 한다. 이를 통해, 교회는 이를 반드시 대비해야 하며, 개발자들과 사용자들의 지나친 유토피아적 낙관론이나 미디어의 지나친 디스토피아적 비관론을 비판하고, 기독교적 윤리가 인공지능 개발과 사용에 적용되어야함을 주장할 것이다.
This article deals with multi-culture and multi-intelligence traversing from humanism to meta-humanism. As an evangelical theological response to the forthcoming multi-cultural co-existence of natural and artificial intelligences, it is to argue that we ought to seek for prudence rather than utopian admiration or dystopian crisis related to artificial intelligence. First, it deals with the advent of AI already existing among us. And then, it is to make a critical assessment from biblical, traditional, and contemporary perspectives on main arguments of trans-humanists, including Ray Kurzweil - constructing the Neo Towel of Babel, Extropianism, and theosis via Machina Sapiens. Lastly, it closes the argument with urging ethical and theological responses to AI. In so doing that, it insists that the church ought to be prepared for it and Christian ethics is to be applied to the developments and usages of AI, while criticizing both over-optimistic views for utopian promised land of developers and users and over-pessimistic predictions for dystopian apocalypse of mass media.
