본 연구는 음악적 개념에 기초한 음악활동이 만 3세 유아의 음악 적성과 음악적 성향에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구 대상은 경기도 수원시에 소재한 어린이집의 만 3세 유아 45명(실험집단 23명, 비교집단 22명)이었다. 실험처치는 총 7주에 걸쳐 실시하였는데, 실험집단의 유아에게는 음악적 개념에 기초한 음악활동을 실시하였으며, 비교집단의 유아에게는 노랫말을 강조한 노래 부르기 방법으로 음악활동을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 음악적 개념에 기초한 음악활동은 만 3세 유아의 음악 적성 발달을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 음악 적성 중 음정과 리듬 모두에서 실험집단이 비교집단보다 유의하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 음악적 개념에 기초한 음악활동은 만 3세 유아의 음악적 성향을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 음악적 성향의 하위영역인 음악적 흥미, 음악적 유능, 음악적 가치, 음악적 의지 모두에서 실험집단이 비교집단보다 유의하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 음악적 개념에 기초한 음악활동은 유아의 음악 적성과 음악적 성향에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 결과는 음악적 개념에 기초한 음악활동을 유아의 음악성 발달을 위한 효과적인 음악교육방법으로 유아교육 현장에서 활용할 수 있음을 시사한다.
The purpose of the research is to investigate the effects that music activities grounded on musical concept have on three-year-old children's music aptitude and musical character. 45 children(23 children were assigned to the experimental group, 22 children were assigned to the comparative group) all aged three in a daycare center in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do were selected as research subjects. The research was a period of 7 weeks. Music activities based on musical concept were given to the experimental groups, and the comparative groups were perform musical activities by singing songs emphasizing lyrics. The results of the research are summarized as follows. First, music activities grounded on musical concept have been proven to have significant effect on the development of music aptitude of three-year-old children. Especially, the experimental group which participated in musical activities that are based on music aptitude in terms of 'tonal' and 'rhythm' showed notably bigger change between pre-test and post-test than the comparative group. Secondly, music activities based on musical concept have shown to have crucial influence on three-year-old children's development of musical character. Especially, When comparing the two groups, the experimental group that engaged in musical concept-based activities showed significantly bigger change between pre-test and post-test in all sub-domains of musical character such as 'musical interest', 'musical competence', 'musical value', and 'musical will' than the comparative group. In this light, it can be concluded that musical concept-based activities exert positive influence on the children's music aptitude as well as their musical character. Such results imply that music activities which are based on musical concept can be actively utilized as effective music education methods on educational sites for further development of children's musicality.
