본 연구는 현대미술감상, 표현활동을 통한 유아창의성교육 수업의 교육적 의미를 탐색하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구기간은 2018년 3월부터 6월까지였으며, 연구참여자는 Y시에 소재한 K대학교의 ‘유아창의성교육’ 강의를 수강하는 예비유아교사 32명이었다. 연구참여자들은 10주 동안 주 1회 현대미술 감상, 표현활동을 통한 창의성교육 수업에 참여하였으며, 창의성교육에 대한 개방형 설문지, 현대미술 감상활동에 대한 반성적 저널, 학기말 성찰기록지를 작성했다. 또한 연구자는 수업 중 활동을 관찰하고 기록하였으며, 2회의 포커스그룹 면담을 실시했다. 연구결과, 예비유아교사들은 현대미술 감상, 표현활동을 통한 유아창의성교육 수업을 통해 ‘상상의 즐거움’, ‘내적동기와 몰입’, ‘소통과 협력’, ‘내 안의 창의성 발견’, ‘창의성에 대한 인식변화’, ‘창의성 교육에 대한 자신감’을 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 예비유아교사를 위한 창의성교육에 있어 현대미술 감상 표현활동의 활용이 교육적 가치가 있음을 밝혔으며, 나아가 창의성 교사교육에 있어 학습자의 직접 참여, 예술 활동의 활용, 상상, 몰입, 협력의 경험, 반성적 사고의 기회가 제공되어야 함을 제안하였다.
The purpose of this study was to explore the educational significance of early childhood creativity education classes through contemporary art appreciation and expression activities for pre-service teachers. The research was carried out from March to June, 2018 and the participants were 32 students who listened to Creativity Education for Young Children at K university in Y city. The students participated in early childhood creative education classes, including contemporary art appreciation and expression activities, once a week for 10 weeks. Participants of the study filled an open questionnaire about creativity education, made a reflective journal about the contemporary art appreciation and expression activity, and wrote a reflection paper at the end of term. The researcher observed and documented the activities of the curriculum and conducted a focus group interview. As a result, it was found that the pre-service early childhood teachers experienced a) joyful imagination, b) intrinsic motivation and immersion, c) communication and cooperation, d) discovering their own creativity, e) a change of perception about creativity, and f) greater confidence in creativity education. These results show that it is of educational value to utilize contemporary art appreciation activities for creativity education for pre-service early childhood education teachers. Furthermore, it suggests that the learner's direct involvement in the education of creativity for pre-service teachers, the utilization of art activities, imagination, immersion, cooperation experience and opportunities for reflective thinking should be provided.
