고지도와 관련하여 정선화풍의 문제는 중요한 사안이 되어 왔다. 현존하는 18세기 후반 이후의 고지도에는 이른 바 정선화풍의 영향을 받았다고 거론되는 사례들이 적지 않다. 본고에서는 고지도에 반영된 정선화풍의 문제를 심도있게 고찰하였다. 우선 정선화풍을 구성하는 주요한 요소들을 분석적으로 제시, 정의하여 이후 등장하는 정선화풍의 영향 문제를 구체적으로 논의할 수 있는 기초를 마련하였다. 이후에는 그러한 요소들에 비추어 가면서 18세기 전반, 후반, 19세기 전반과 후반으로 나누어 정선화풍의 영향이 시대적, 지역적, 사례별 추이에 따라 어떻게 변화하였는지 살펴보았다.
In the field of pictorial map in Joseon period, the influence of Jeong Seon(1676-1759)’s true-view landscape style has been one of the major interests. There exist lots of old pictorial maps, which are said to be influenced by Jeong Seon’s style. In this article, I considered the different factors consisting Jeong Seon’s style first. And old maps in the 18th and 19th century are analyzed to confirm the diverse ways of accepting and interpreting the true-view style of Jeong Seon according to the different conditions, that are, period, province, and each artist etc.
