본 연구는 2014년 2학기부터 2017년까지 중앙대학교 <의사소통 클리닉 센 터>의 운영 사례를 분석하여 본 센터의 성과와 문제점, 그리고 앞으로 나아갈 방향을 모색하였다. 대학 교양교육으로서 중요한 역할을 하고 있는 ‘글쓰기’나 ‘말하기’와 같은 의사소통 교과와 <의사소통 클리닉 센터>가 연계하여 학생들 의 소통능력에 도움을 줄 수 있는 방법을 찾아보았다. 그 결과 본 센터의 성과를 살펴보면, 센터 설립 후 인문학 글쓰기 및 말하기 개인지도 시스템과 저부담·고효율 인문학 글쓰기 및 말하기 교육 시스템이 구 축되었다. 또한 프레젠테이션과 발표 및 외국인 클리닉까지 영역이 확대되어 학생들의 요구를 만족시킬 수 있었다. 마지막으로 교육적 기대 효과를 확인하 고 확산시킬 토대를 마련하였다. 본 센터의 성과에도 불구하고 앞으로의 과제가 남아있다. 먼저 양질의 상담 을 위해 교강사가 튜터로 투입되고 있으나 이에 대한 적절한 보상이 이루어지 지 않고 있다는 점이다. 또한 첨삭이나 상담을 받는 학생들이 인문사회나 경영 경제 계열처럼 특정 계열에 치중되어 있다는 점이다. 이공계 학생들이 참여할 수 있는 프로그램 개발이 필요하다. 마지막으로 튜터링한 내용을 정리한 체계 적 결과물이 부족하다는 점이다. 이러한 점을 보완하여 2018년 2학기 튜터링 이 끝난 후 중앙대학교 <의사소통 클리닉 센터>의 미래와 비전을 모색하고자 한다.
The objective of this study is to examine the operations and achievements of the Communication Clinic Center at Chung-Ang University and suggest the direction it might take in the future. The Communication Clinic Center of Chung-Ang University has operated since 2014. The Center performs consultations on writing as well as speaking. Therefore, this study tries to determine a method of linking the Communication Clinic Center to a <writing> subject and a <speaking-related> subject at the university. In addition, by sharing the center’s accumulated achievements, this study tries to provide basic data on the operation of non-subject programs. The role of a communication clinic center at a university is very important for students as well as the university. However, this kind of project is usually connected to government projects, and therefore the very existence of a center generally depends on government funding. In this vein, it is necessary to operate a center as an independent project through efforts by and around a university and in cooperation with the university’s budget. In addition, through developing novel and truly essential programs for students, it is necessary to connect a communication subject with a writing center, thus conducting a liberal arts education for students continuously.
