이 글은 ‘분단적대성’의 역사적 발원과 이를 재생산하는 감정구조를 살펴보면서 그 개념을 정립하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이에 이 글은 우선 해방시기부터 분단의 역사를 되짚어 보면서 분단적대성이 남북의 분단 그 자체로부터 나온 산물이 아니라 애초에 남북 분단에 냉전질서가 오버랩 되어 상대를 정적과 이단으로 삼는 정치논리에 착근되어 탄생한 감정/인식이라고 분석한다. 나아가 분단적대성은 그와 같이 남북의 냉전적 정치논리에 착근되어 탄생하였지만 오히려 ‘민족=국가’를 향한 동일성의 욕망을 좌절시키면서 그로부터 적대적 에너지를 수혈 받는 히스테리적 감정이라고 밝힌다. 이어서 이 글은 분단적대성의 재생산 메커니즘을 분단국가와 그것이 산출하는 분단의 감정공동체를 통해 분석하고 있다. 분석 결과 분단국가는 담론과 기억을 통해 분단적대성의 감정을 윤리화하고 위기-안보 담론에 기대어 분단적대성이 재생산될 수 있는 사회적 구조를 형성하고 있었다. 반면에 분단의 감정공동체는 분단국가의 사회적 의례를 비롯한 문화 전반에 걸쳐 분단적대성의 표출을 지지받고 집합적인 국가적 자아를 (재)생산하면서 분단의 감정 에너지를 분단국가로 실어 나르는 순환구조를 형성한다고 결론짓는다.
The purpose of this paper is to establish the concept of ‘Division Antagonism’, looking at its historical origin and emotion structure. So first of all, this paper looks back divided history from the period of the liberation, and concludes that Division Antagonism was not a product made by division itself, but emotion-cognition rooted in the logic behind politics, regarding the opposite side as a political opponent and heresy, while order of cold war had overlapped with the division of South and North Korea. Furthermore, Division Antagonism is hysterical emotion that was born like that, but rather disappointed desire of identity for 'nation=state' and was given a blood transfusion from it. Next, this paper analyzes reproductive mechanisms of Division Antagonism by observing divided nation and emotional community of division. Analysis shows that divided nation makes Division Antagonism into ethics and builds social structure reproducing Division Antagonism, based on crisis-security discourses. And analysis also shows that emotion community of division is received support to express Division Antagonism throughout cultures including social ceremony and (re)produces congregative national selfhood, consequently makes circulation structure to convey emotional energy to divided state.
