본 연구는 역대 상담심리학회장들의 경험을 바탕으로 한국의 상담심리학의 발전해 온 과정을 살펴보고 앞으로한국의 상담심리학이 발전하기 위한 방향을 찾고 향후 과제에 대해 살펴보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 본 연구는역대 한국 상담심리학회장 12명을 대상으로 포커스 그룹인터뷰를 진행하고 이에 대해 질적 분석을 실시하였다. 그결과 3개의 주제와 6개의 범주, 각 범주에 대한 총 15개의 하위 범주로 결과가 도출 되었다. 첫 번째 주제는 상담심리학의역사적 맥락으로 2개의 범주로 나뉜다. 범주1) 한국 상담심리학회의 탄생, 범주2) 상담의 급속한 성장. 두 번째 주제는상담의 실용적 분야에 대한 발전으로 다음과 같이 2개의 범주로 나뉜다. 범주1) 사례연구회의 발전 과정 및 역할, 범주2) 슈퍼비전 영역의 발전 방향. 세 번째 주제는 상담분야의 향후 발전 과제로 다음과 같이 2개의 범주로 나뉜다. 범주1) 상담분야에서의 전문성 확보를 위한 체계 관리. 범주2) 자격증의 질적 팽창을 위한 체계 관리. 이러한 연구결과를 중심으로 한국 상담심리학의 발전을 위한 실무적인 부분, 전문성 확보 그리고 통합성에 대한 논의가 제시되었다.
This research examines the Korean counseling psychology's process of development and direction of development with future task based on the experience of 12 former presidents of the Korean Counseling Psychological Association. This results used focus group interview as qualitative research method, are summarized into 3 domains, 6 categories and 15 core ideas. The first domain is "history of Korean Counseling Psychology" with 2 categories: Category 1) Foundation of Korean Counseling Psychological Association; Category 2) Rapid growth of counseling in Korea; The second domain is "development of practicality in counseling psychology" with 2 categories: Category 1) History and role of the subsection case study group; Category 2) Supervision field’s direction of improvement. The third domain is “Future task of Counseling field” with 2 categories: Category 1) System administration for professionalism of counseling; Category 2) System administration for qualitative improvement. Suggestions are provided for subject of development in Korean Counseling Psychology with practicality, professionalism, and integrity.
