본 논문에서는 교육소외계층을 위한 원격교육기반 성인학습자 특성을 성인학습 이론과 안드라고지(andragogy) 이론적 특성을 참고하여 그 특성을 분석하였다. 연구대상은 전국 42개교 중 6개교 방송통신고등학교 학생들에게 설문조사를 실시한 후 SPSS 통계 프로그램으로 데이터를 분석하였다. 연구결과 대부분 성인학습 이론의 내용과 일치하는 반응을 보였으며, 연구내용의 결과 학생으로서 교수자주도형 페다고지(pedagogy)적 성향과 과제 관련해서는 안드라고지적 성향을 동시에 가지고 있었다. 성인으로서는 학습자의 관점, 경험․학습준비도․학습경향에는 능동적이며 경험을 중시하고 활용하는 모습을 보였다. 성인으로서 학습에 참여하는 학습동기는 대학진학을 위한 외적인 동기성향이 분명하였다.
The purpose of this study was to analyze characteristics of adult learners based on distance learning for the underprivileged of education by referring to the theories of adult learning and Andragogy. The subjects were surveyed by 6 broadcasting communication high school students among 42 schools in Korea and analyzed by SPSS statistics program. As a result of the study, most students responded in accordance with the contents of the adult learning theory. As a result of the research, the students had a pedagogy tendency and a tendency toward andragogy for the task. As an adult, the learner's point of view, experience, learning preparation, and learning tendency were active, and showed importance and use of experience. Learning motivation to participate in learning as an adult was obviously motivated by external motivation for entering college.
