본 논문은 『금수회의록』이 일본의 『禽獸會議 人類攻擊』의 일부분을 번역한 작품이라는 기존의 논의를 반박하려는 시도를 하는 것은 아니다. 하지만 프랑스에서 1842년에 출판된 Scènes de la vie privée et publique des animaux라는 작품은 『禽獸會議 人類攻擊』에서 드러나는 인류에 대한 비판, 회의를 개최하고 진행하는 방식, 선언문의 채택 등의 요소 등이 동일하게 포함되어 있다. 본 논문은 『금수회의록』이 비록 일본의 『禽獸會議 人類攻擊』을 번역한 것은 사실이지만 구성적 연원에는 프랑스의 우화집인 Scènes de la vie privée et publique des animaux가 존재했을 가능성을 제기하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
This paper does not attempt to contradict the existing argument that the Minutes among Animals(금수회의록) is a translation of a part based on the Animal meetings Attacks on Humans(禽獸會議 人類攻擊) in Japanese. However, Scènes de la vie privée et publique des animaux, published in France in 1842, shows the criticisms of humanity, the way in which meetings are held and proceeded, and the adoption of declarations, which are included in the same way as in Invasion of Humanity Attack(禽獸會議 人類攻擊). This paper is aimed at raising the possibility that Scènes de la vie privée et publique des animaux, a French fable, existed as a constructed source although it is true that Minutes among Animals(금수회의록) have translated the Animal meetings Attacks on Humans(禽獸會議 人類攻擊)擊) in Japan.
