대학의 입시자율화는 대학간 신입생 유치에 여러 가지 애로사항을 갖고 있다. 향후 대학 지원자수의 절대적 감소는 전문대학만의 특성화를 추구하면서 생존전략을 수립하고 있는 현실이다. 본 연구는 전문대학을 지원하는 학생들의 입학동기요인을 분석하여 전문대학만이 갖는 교육품질 향상을 통한 지원자 만족도를 높이는데 목적을 두고 설문지조사방법을 통하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 인문계고등학교(50.4%)와 실업계고등학교(47.7%)의 비중으로 학습방법이 중요하며, 또한 지원자는 취업을 목적으로 지원하며(49.3%), 대학인지매체는 인터넷 검색 비중이 높았고, 담임선생의 역할도 중요한 것으로 파악되었다. 분석결과 전문대학을 지원한 동기는 취업을 위한 지원이 높아 취업중심의 교육과정 도입운영이 필요한 것으로 분석된다. 따라서 전문대학교육과정은 4년제와 차별화된 현장 실무중심 교육과정으로 산학연계교육과정의 도입운영도 유용할 것으로 생각된다. 그리고 일부학생은 진학을 희망하는 관계로 4년제 교육과정의 일부병행 운영도 필요할 것으로 분석되었다.
Recently, competition for entrance exams of college is overheated. College continued to promote special strategy. This research shows that the entrance rates for freshmen who were graduate an academic high school were almost the same as for freshmen who were graduate the industrial high school. Employment is the object of college applicants. Also internet is important way to inform the public among mass media. So, college emphasizes the importance of in-service training and revitalization of an Educational-Industrial Program can be useful way to improve education quality.
