This article studies Octavio Paz in Korean literary magazines, which have been published monthly o quarterly since after Korean War to the present. We investigated 15 types of magazines published during about 40 years, to study the introduction of Octavio Paz in Korea through mentioned magazines. We found more or less 100 articles published in deferent magazines. The results of this article are as follows: 1) Octavio Paz was first introduced in Korean magazines in 1975 with a poem, but after 2010 we can’t see Octavio Paz in these magazines; 2) We can read his articles in about 15 literary magazines; 3) Handaesihag has published most of his articles with about 41 articles based on El arco y La lira and Los hijos del limo; 4) Min Yong Tae is the one who presents more articles, Kim Hong Kun and Kim Eun Jung are those who translate most his works into Korean. According to this study we can find three special things: 1) among Octavio Paz articles, translations of poems and essays are slightly over half; 2) the Mexican poet has a very broad knowledge of the East with the Book of Changes and Buddhism; 3) El arco y la lira is the most important work.
