이 글은 새로 發掘한 長篇 漢文小說 『一樂亭記』의 異本 『徐卿忠孝誌』의 性格과 意味를 살펴본 것이다. 자료 검토를 통해서 확인한 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 『서경충효지』는 장편 한문소설 『일락정기』와 同一 작품이며, 題名을 다르게 불렀던 것임을 확인했다. 둘째, 이 자료의 筆寫者와 筆寫 時期는 裏面에 있는 日記를 통해서 1850년대 公州에 居住했던 坡平 尹氏 윤상열 집안의 人物이란 사실을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 『서경충효지』와 『일락정기』의 검토를 통해서 지금처럼 『일락정기』를 두 계열로만 볼 수 없고, 적어도 세 계열 이상의 이본이 존재했으며, 두 계열을 아우르는 先本/善本의 존재도 생각할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 『일락정기』와 『서경충효지』의 先後 문제, 처음 命名한 작품의 題名을 推論해 보았다. 현재로서는 이 문제의 結論을 내릴 수 없었다. 하지만 『서경충효지』의 서문에서 필사자가 ‘일락정기’가 의미하는 내용을 지운 것이나 『일락정기』와의 관계 등을 본다면 『일락정기』라는 제목을 처음에 쓰다가 후대에 와서 『서경충효지』로 改名되어 사람들에게 읽혔던 것으로 보인다.

Next, it is necessary to examine whether this novel was called as Iillagjeonggi or Seogyeongchunghyoji from the beginning. It is not easy to find out the name of Iillagjeonggi in the list of the existing novels or in the bibliography of Maurice Kouran, but we can see more Seogyeongchunghyoji. Considering this point, it is more likely that this novel was called Seogyeongchunghyoji. In this article, we discussed these issues in turn.
