The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic impacts of investment of Korea National Park Service(KNPS) and tourist expenditures to the village of excellence of the KNPS. To this end a national input-out model was employed to derive sectoral multipliers of output, income, value-added, indirect tax, and employment in terms of direct and indirect effects. These multipliers were derived from the  ×  input-output tables by Bank of Korea (2014). The results of input-output model indicate that in 2015 the investment and expenditures associated with the village of excellence generated output impact of 9,782 million Korean Won(KRW), income impact of 2,375 million KRW, value added impact of 4,704 million KRW, indirect tax impact of 93 million KRW, and 80 jobs. The results also show that the economic impacts were substantially greater than net investment of KNPS. The findings of this study will provide the KNPS with important policy implications whether it continues to support or maintain the village of excellence.
