본 연구는 고등학생들의 일상 활동 중 참여 동기와 플로우 조건에 따른 내적 경험의 차이를 알아보고자 한 것이다. 이를 알아보기 위해 서울시 강동구 소재의 고등학교 1학년 116명으로부터 데이터를 경험표집법(ESM)으로 수집하였다. 즉 학생들에게 휴대폰과 경험표집양식 책자를 항상 소지할 수 있도록 하여 신호가 울릴 때 마다 그 순간의 경험과 관련된 다양한 정보를 기록하도록 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계, 독립표본 T검정, 일원분산분석, 이원분산분석을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일상 활동 중 참여 동기(내적 동기, 외적 동기)에 따른 고등학생들의 내적 경험에는 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 플로우 조건(몰입, 지루함, 불안감, 무관심 조건)에 따른 고등학생들의 내적 경험에는 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 참여 동기와 플로우 조건에 따른 고등학생들의 내적 경험에는 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 참여 동기와 플로우 조건의 상호작용 효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 사후검증 결과, 내적 동기와 외적 동기 상황 모두에서 몰입 조건을 경험한 고등학생들의 내적 경험 수준이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study is to explore the difference of internal experience according to flow condition and participation motivation among Korean high school students. The data were collected from 116 high school students by the Experience Sampling Method, employing a cellular-phone as a signaling device. Students were encouraged to keep their cell phones and experience sampling forms at all times, so that whenever they sounded, the experience was recorded on the experience sampling form. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent sample T-test, one-way ANOVA, and two-way ANOVA using SPSS 23.0 program. The results of the study are as follows. First, there was a significant difference in the internal experience of high school students according to participation motivation(internal motivation, external motivation) during daily activities. Second, there was a significant difference in the internal experience of high school students according to flow conditions(flow condition, boredom condition, anxiety condition, apathy condition). Third, there was a significant difference in the internal experience of high school students according to participation motivation and flow condition, and the interaction effect of participation motivation and flow condition was significant. Post-hoc test results showed that high school students who experienced flow condition in internal and external motivation had the highest level of internal experience.
