동해안 굿의 대표되는 무가는 청보무가와 서사무가이다. 이글에서는 서사무가의 음악구성에 대한 연구이다. 동해안 굿의 서사무가는 대부분이 제마수장단에 노래를 부른다고 한다. 그러나 연행현장에서는 한 장단으로 되어있지 않고 여러 장단들이 뒤섞여 나와 음악구성이 단순하지 않음이 보여 다양한 자료들을 통해 분석하였다. 동해안 서사무가는 심청굿, 손님굿, 세존굿, 발원굿, 제면굿 등이 있다. 이들의 내용은 달라도 연행방식은 흡사하다. 서사무가의 주요내용을 구송하는 것을 본풀이라 하고 상황에 따라 분위기를 고조시키기 위해 삽입가요를 첨가하여 부른다. 본풀이는 말과 노래를 교대로 연행한다. 판소리의 아니리처럼 상황을 설명하는 부분을 말로하고 이 부분의 상황을 극대화하기 위해 낭송조로 읊조린다. 본풀이무가는 제마수 2장, 3장 장단에 맞추어 메나리토리로 부른다. 삽입가요는 다른 곳에서 차용하여 서사무가 중간에 한곡으로 들어온 것으로 상주모심기소리, 상여소리, 둥기둥타령, 뱃노래, 자진뱃노래, 방아타령, 중타령, 이별가, 창부타령, 대감놀이, 염불, 엇청보, 청보 등이 있다. 이 곡들은 여러 서사무가 굿거리에서 중복되어 불려진다. 동해안 서사무가의 음악은 제마수장단에 맞추어 부르는 본풀이무가와 여러 종류의 삽입가요들로 구성되어 연행하고 있다.
The “mooh gah” that best represents “dong-hae ahn goot” would be “chung-bo mooh gah” and “suh-sah mooh gah”. This paper is a research paper about the music composition of the “suh-sah mooh gah”. Most of the “suh-sah mooh gah” of “dong-hae ahn goot” is known for assembling with the “jeh-mah sooh” rhythm. However, at the actual site it was easy to tell that the music composition wasn’t simple; instead of being formed with one rhythm it was a combination of several rhythms – resulting in this analysis of multiple documents. “Dong-hae ahn Suh-sah mooh gah” is made up of “shim-chung goot”, “sohn-nim goot”, “seh-john goot”, “bal-wuhn goot”, “jeh-myun goot” and others. Though the content of each “goot” is different, the way and method of each “goot” is very similar to one another. The recitation of the main contents of “suh-sah mooh gah” is called “bohn-pool yee” and depending on the situation, a parenthetic song may be inserted to build up tension. Word and song are shifted by turn in “bohn-pool yee”. Like the “ah-ni ree” of “pansori”, the situation is read out and to maximize and heighten the situation, it is recited in a reciting note. “Bohn-pool yee mooh gah” is sung accordingly to the menaritori scale to the rhythm of “jeh-mah sooh” chapter 2 and 3. A parenthetic song is a part that is derived from somewhere else and then inserted into the middle of “suh-sah mooh gah” and some examples can be “sang-ju moh-shim-gee sori”, “ sang-yuh sori”, “doongee-doong tah-ryung”, “baed norae”, “jah-jin baed norae”, “bang-ah tah-ryung”, “joong tah-ryung”, “yee-byul gah”, “chang-booh taeh-ryung”, “dae-gahm noree”, “yum-bool” “uht-chung chung boh”. These songs are repeated throughout many “suh-sah mooh gah” “goot guh-ree”. The music of “Dong-hae ahn Suh-sah mooh gah” is composed of “bohn-pool yee mooh gah”, which is sung accordingly to the rhythm of “jeh-mah sooh”, and many other types of parenthetic songs.
