「정읍사」는 남북이 분단 이전부터 함께 공유한 문학으로, 남과 북 모두문학사에서 항상 다루는 중요한 작품이다. 하지만 분단 후에는 남북이 각자의 시각 차이로 인해 「정읍사」의 발생 시기를 상이하게 하고 있다. 남한에서는 「정읍사」의 시대 귀속을 실증주의적 관점에 따라 백제 혹은 고려로 대립하고 있지만, 백제민이 남편의 무사귀환을 바라는 망부가적 성격으로 원문을 해석하며 대체적으로 백제의 노래로 규정하고 있다. 하지만 북한은 「정읍사」를 분단 초기 통일신라시대의 작품으로 분류하다가 사회의 압박과 불행 속에서 탄생한 사회비판적 성격을 띠고 있는백제민의 창작품으로 분석하였다. 이는 고구려 중심주의를 표방하며 「동동」을 고구려의노래로 소급하는 과정에서 이와 후렴구가 유사한 「정읍사」는 고구려의 영향을 받은 백제의 노래로 규정할 수밖에 없었던 것이다. 이러한 문학적 시각 속에서 남북을 비교해 보았을 때, 남한은 「정읍사」를 망부가적 성격으로 해석하고 있으며, 북한은 남한의 시각에 사회비판적 성격을 더하여 분석하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 그렇기 때문에 통일문학사에서는 북한의 지나친 주체문학론의 영향을 고려하여 이러한 부분을 경계하고 소거한다면 「정읍사」에 대한 남과 북의 시대 귀속은 접점을 찾아 통일문학사를 서술하는 데 있어서 좋은 사례가 될 것이다.
Jeongeupsa is a valuable literary work to shared in South and North Korea’s literary and to handle in South and North Korea’s all literary before South and North Korea are divided. This claim to Goguryeo centricism and Jeongeupsa is similar to dong-dong’s chorus as Goguryeo’s song. Ultimately they need to define the Baekjae’s song to be influenced by Goguryeo. When we compare the North and the South in this literary perspective, South Korea interprets Jeongeupsa as a network personality, and North Korea analyzes South Korea’s viewpoint by adding social criticism. For this reason, in the history of unification literature, considering the influence of North Korea’s excessive Juche literary theory, if we observe and erase these parts, it would be a good example to describe the history of unification literature by searching the contact points of.
