본 연구는 교과서와 연계한 장애․인권교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 장애인권감수성과 장애인식 및 장애수용태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자는 사전검사 결과 유의한 차이가 없는 동질집단인 경기도 소재의 2개 초등학교 5학년 학생 총 311명을 임의적으로 실험집단에 J초등학교 157명, 비교집단에 H초등학교 154명을 배정하여, 실험집단에는 2017년 4월부터 5월까지 매주 수요일 5교시에 40분 분량의 장애․인권교육 프로그램을 총 8회기 실시한 후, 실험집단과 비교집단을 대상으로 공변량분석(ANCOVA)을 통해 효과 차이를 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 교과서와 연계한 장애·인권교육 프로그램을 적용한 실험집단이 장애인권감수성과 장애인식 및 장애수용태도에 있어 비교집단에 비해 유의하게 긍정적인 변화를 보임으로써 교과서와 연계한 장애․인권교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 장애인권감수성과 장애인식 및 장애수용태도를 개선하는 데 효과적임을 잘 말해준다.


The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the disability awareness and human rights education programs, which is linked to the textbook, on the sensitivity to disability human rights and disability awareness and attitudes toward disability of the elementary school students. For this purpose, the disability awareness and human rights education programs were provided to total 311 students at the 5th grade classes who were selected on purpose, S elementary school 157 students in the experimental group and H elementary school 154 students in the control group. All of them were S elementary school and H elementary school students in Gyeonggi. The disability awareness and human rights education programs were conducted once a week for 8 weeks in the experimental group. In this study, the data was treated to obtain the mean and standard deviation as descriptive statistics, and performed ANCOVA to verify the difference of the effects. The results of this study were as follows; First, the experimental group that participated in the session of disability awareness and human rights education program was proved to be more effective on enhancing the sensitivity to disability human rights of elementary school students rather than the control group. Second, the experimental group that participated in the session of disability awareness and human rights education program was proved to be more effective on enhancing the disability awareness and attitudes toward disability of elementary school students rather than the control group. As mentioned above, having a disability awareness and human rights education program are the effective way to improve sensitivity to disability human rights and disability awareness and attitudes toward disability of the elementary school students.
