본 연구는 중학생과 대학생 집단을 대상으로 고통 감내력이 마음챙김을매개로 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는데 그 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 305명에게 설문지를 실시하였으며 각 변인간의 관련성과 매개효과를 살펴보기 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하여 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째 고통 감내력이 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향에서 마음챙김이 매개효과가 있음이 확인되었다. 둘째, 고통 감내력과 외상 후 성장 관계에서 마음챙김의 매개효과가 집단별로 차이가 났는데 중학생 집단에서는 유의미하게 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구는 발달적 관점에서 고통 감내력과 외상 후 성장의 관계에서 마음챙김이 연령에 따라 차이가 있음을 살펴보았으며 마음챙김이 외상 후 성장을 향상시킬 수있는 심리적 변인이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.
The purpose of this study was to identify what relation there are in distress tolerance, posttraumatic growth and mindfulness according to developmental stages on the subjects of groups including middle school students, college students to examine the effects of distress tolerance on posttraumatic growth by the developmental stage. Further, this study purposed to explore how the mediating effect of mindfulness by the developmental stage represents in the relation between distress tolerance and posttraumatic growth. For this purpose, this study conducted DTS, PTG, TESK and Five-factor mindfulness questionnaire on the subjects of the total 305 male and female participants including 3rd year middle school students, junior and senior college students. The data were then processed by using an SPSS 18.0 program to carry out descriptive statistics, analysis of frequency, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, from the result of examining mediating effects of mindfulness in the relation between distress tolerance and posttraumatic growth, it is found that there were different aspects of mediating effects according to the developmental stages. It is found that distress tolerance, other than directly affecting posttraumatic growth, indirectly affected posttraumatic growth through mindfulness as the age grew older. Second, the result of middle school students examining the mediating effect of mindfulness between distress tolerance and posttraumatic growth did not show any significant effect. This study has its meaning in that it attempted to empirically verify relation aspects between distress tolerance, posttraumatic growth and mindfulness according to the developmental stages by selecting groups of middle school students and college students who were in their adolescence and adult period as research subjects. And this study discussed limits and suggestions of this research for future studies as well.
