본 연구의 목적은 아버지의 공감능력, 어머니 문지기역할, 부부갈등과 아버지의 양육효능감 간의 구조적 관계를 살펴보는 것이다. 수도권에 위치한 유치원의 아버지 498명을 연구대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 자료분석은 SPSS 21과 M-plus7 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석과 기술통계분석, Pearson 상관분석과 구조방정식 모형분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 아버지의 양육효능감과 공감능력, 어머니 문지기역할, 부부갈등은 하위영역 간 유의미한상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 아버지의 공감능력은 어머니의 문지기역할과 부부갈등을 통해 아버지 양육효능감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 통해 아버지의 양육효능감을증진시키기 위해서 그들의 공감능력에 대한 고려 뿐 아니라 어머니 문지기역할, 부부갈등의요소도 함께 포함하는 부모교육의 필요성을 제안하였다.
This study aims to examine the relationship among paternal empathy ability, maternal gatekeeping, couple conflict and paternal efficacy. The data were collected from children ages 3-5 and their fathers (n=498). Data analysis was conducted through analysis of frequency, descriptive statistical analysis, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) by using M-plus 7 and SPSS 21. Results reveal that first, paternal empathy ability correlated with maternal gatekeeping, couple conflict and paternal efficacy. Second, maternal gatekeeping and couple conflict mediated the relationship between paternal empathy ability and paternal efficacy. Based on the results, implications for parent education to raise paternal efficacy and ways to improve paternal empathy ability were discussed.
