본 연구에서는 경기교육종단연구(Gyeonggi Education Panel Study: GEPS)의 1차, 2차, 3차년도 패널자료를 활용하여 학교특성별 고등학생의 학업성취와 교과흥미의 종단적 변화를 알아보았다. 다층성장모형분석을 통한 연구결과, 혁신고 학생들의 국어와 수학성취가 성장변화율에 있어서 일반고보다 통계적으로 의미 있게 높았다. 다음으로, 국어와 수학흥미는 변화율에 차이가 없었다. 교과흥미와 학업성취의 관계는 교과별, 학교특성별 차이가 있었으나 성장변화율에 있어서는 차이가 없었다. 본 연구결과는 학업성취의 성장이 지속적으로 이루어지기 위해서 학생의 교과흥미를 고려한 수업이 필요함을 시사한다.


The purpose of this study was to analyze the longitudinal change of academic achievement and subject interest according to the school type. For this study, the panel data of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year of Gyeonggi Education Panel Study(GEPS) were referred. The results of longitudinal study using‘multilevel growth model’are as follows: First, the academic achievement of innovative high school students in Korean language and math was statistically significantly high in growth change rate compared with that of general high school students. Next, the change rate between Korean language and math interest was not significantly different. The relationship between subject interest and academic achievement showed a difference among school characteristics as well as subjects but it was not significantly different in the growth change rate. The results of this study suggest that a class for the students' interest in each subject should be introduced to continue the growth of academic achievement.
