본 연구는 경상도 지역의 ‘임신․출산’에 관한 어휘를 조사하고 이에 관한 어휘목록을 체계화하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 경상도의 여러 제보자를 통해 임신․출산 주제에 대한 다양한 어휘 수집하여, 임신․출산에 관한 어휘를 목록화하였다. 여기서는 임신을 위한 기자의례, 임신․출산 준비물, 임신․출산 관련 금기, 임신․출산 관련 속설 관련 어휘를 정리하였다. 인류의 시작과 함께 시작된 임신․출산의 문제는 긴 역사를 가지고 있고 이와 관련된 말과 표현도 많이 있을 것이라 추정할 수 있다. 출산 문화의 변화로 임신․출산에 관한 전통적인 생활 어휘도 노년층을 중심으로 명맥만 유지하고 있다. 따라서 사라져 가고 있는 임신․출산에 관한 전통적인 생활 어휘를 조사, 정리하는 일은 임신․출산과 관련된 어휘장 구축을 위한 기초 작업일 것이다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the vocabulary related to ‘pregnancy and childbirth' in Gyeongsang area and systematize the voca bulary list related to it. Various vocabularies on pregnancy and childbirth topics were collected through various sources in Kyungsang Province and vocabularies about pregnancy and childbirth were listed. Here, we organized rituals for pregnancy, preparations for pregnancy and childbirth, contra ception related to pregnancy and childbirth, and vocabulary related to pregnancy and childbirth. It can be assumed that pregnancy and childbirth that started with the beginning of mankind have a long history. There are many words and expressions related to them. Due to changes in the birth culture, traditional vocabulary of pregnancy and childbirth is maintained mainly by the elderly. Therefore, investigating and eliminating the traditional vocabulary related to pregnancy and childbirth that are disappearing is a basic task for building a vocabulary related to pregnancy and childbirth.
