본 연구에서는 부모의 심리적 통제와 주관적 안녕감 및 우울의 관계를 알아보고, 그 관계에서 분리-개별화와 기본 심리욕구 충족의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 부산 소재 4년제 대학교의 남, 여 대학생을 대상으로 의존지향 및 성취지향 심리적 통제 척도, 우울 척도, 삶의 만족도 척도, 정적 정서 및 부적 정서 척도, 분리-개별화 척도, 기본 심리욕구 척도를 실시하였고, 340명의 자료가 최종 분석에 사용되었다. 부모의 의존지향 및 성취지향 심리적 통제, 분리-개별화, 기본 심리욕구 충족, 주관적 안녕감, 우울 간의 상관을 알아보았고, 매개효과의 검증을 위해 Baron과 Kenny(1986)가 제안한 세 단계의 절차에 따라 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 의존지향 및 성취지향 심리적 통제는 우울과는 유의한 정적 상관, 주관적 안녕감과는 유의한 부적 상관을 보였고, 분리-개별화 및 기본 심리욕구 충족과는 유의한 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 분리-개별화 및 기본 심리욕구 충족은 부모의 의존지향 및 성취지향 심리적 통제와 자녀의 주관적 안녕감 및 우울 사이를 매개하였다. 본 연구는 부모로부터 심리적 통제를 받은 경험이 있는 대학생들의 주관적 안녕감 및 우울에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 주관적 안녕감을 증진시키고 우울을 감소시키는데 요구되는 심리적 기제를 탐색하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
The purpose of this research was to examine the mediating effects of separation-individuation and basic psychological needs satisfaction on relationships between parental psychological control and subjective well-being, depression of early adult children. The results are summarized as follows. First, parental dependency-oriented and achievement-oriented psychological control was positively correlated with depression, and was negatively correlated with separation-individuation, basic psychological needs satisfaction and subjective well-being. Second, separation-individuation partially mediated the relationships between dependency-oriented psychological control and subjective well-being, meanwhile, separation-individuation mediated the relationships between dependency-oriented psychological control and depression. Furthermore, separation-individuation mediated the relationships between achievement-oriented psychological control and subjective well-being, depression respectively. Third, basic psychological needs satisfaction mediated the relationships between dependency-oriented psychological control and depression as well as subjective well-being. On the other hand, basic psychological needs satisfaction mediated the relationships between achievement-oriented psychological control and subjective well-being but partially mediated the relationships between achievement-oriented psychological control and depression.
