For philosophical practice to be an academic discipline it has to establish some fundamental elements needed for securing its identity. In order to establish the identity of philosophical counseling, we have to make its aim clearer and to elucidate its methodology which can lead to achieve the aim. The purpose of the paper is to suggest a way of securing the identity and methodology of philosophical practice. First, I shall suggest the theory of embodied mind as a proper fundamental theory for philosophical counseling. Second, I shall classify human diseases and define a type of the disease of mind as the main object of philosophical counseling. Third, I shall suggest a way of constructing more philosophical counseling which contains a system of philosophical diagnosis.
