생태학은 살아있는 유기체들과 그 유기체가 성장하는 환경의 관계를 연구하는 학문이다. 생태 미술교육은 자연과 인간의 문제, 인간과 인간의 문제 등을 다루며 생명 교육의 연장선에 있다. 살아 있는 모든 것에 대한 연민과 배려의 마음은 인간성이 갖고 있는 최상위의 윤리 감각이다. 이런 연민과 배려의 정서는 생태주의 철학과 밀접한 관련이 있으며 이는 모든 죽어가는 것들에 대한 우주적인 연민으로까지 이어지는 마음이다. 자연이 하나의 피상적인 개체가 아니라 대화할 수 있는 생명을 가진 존재라는 생각은 바로 ‘모든 생명은 촘촘한 그물망으로 연결되어 있다’는 생태적 각성이다. 이 생명들이 나와 지구 안에서 함께 공존하며 긴밀히 관계를 맺고 있다고 여기면, 지구에 대한 책임 있는 자세를 갖게 된다. 따라서 논자는 생명 표현 활동으로 ‘살아 있는 것’에 대한 연민과 배려 및 생명들과의 대화를 통해 생명존중감을 일깨우는 수업의 실제를 보여주고자 한다. 중점적인 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지속가능한 삶을 위한 생태적 세계관과 생태 미술교육의 방향을 탐색하였다. 둘째, 살아있는 것에 대한 연민과 배려, 모든 존재자들과의 대화 등 생명존중감과 관련된 측면을 고찰하였다. 셋째, 실제 미술수업의 전개 과정과 수업결과물 등 구체적인 자료를 예시하였다. 넷째, 이 수업의 효과 및 생태·환경적 시사점을 도출하였다.
Ecology is a study of the relationship between living organisms and the environment in which the organisms grow up. The ecological art education is an extension of life education, dealing with problems in nature vs. human beings and human beings vs. human beings. The feeling of consideration and compassion for all living things is the highest sense of ethics possessed by humanity. The feeling of consideration and compassion is closely related to the philosophy of ecology, which leads to cosmic sympathy for all dying things. It is an ecological awakening that nature is connected to, not a superficial object, but an ecological illusion is connected to a dense network. If these living things share a close relationship with each other in the world, they have a responsible attitude toward the earth. Therefore, it is recommended to show the reality of life through life expressions of compassion, consideration of life and life, and a sense of life through life. The focal point is as follows. First, the directions for ecological education and ecological art education for sustainable life was investigated. Second, life respect connected with the feeling of consideration, compassion and conversations for and with living things was contemplated. Third, detailed data on the process and the result of proceeding art classes were presented. Fourth, ecological implications were derived through this class.
