This article aims to overview main arguments and characteristics of Yeon(2011) and to suggest critical viewpoints of Yeon(2011) and new issues on Korean grammatical constructions through our overviews. Yeon(2011) suggests new ideas and solutions of problems about Korean grammatical constructions of passive, causative, Locative alternation, dative subject, promotion of Possessor to object, relative clauses etc. which is difficult to resolve by observing simply Korean language through a study from the functional-typological perspective. In this article, we bring up new issues of 1) the effect of cognitive contiguity(metonymy) on grammatical behavior, 2) diverse functions of passive, 3) semantic properties of dative subject construction, 4) similarity Locative alternation construction with voice, 5) the function of Korean adnominal clauses by critical reviewing of Yeon(2011) and comment on these issues. These issues are expected to prospect Korean syntax and morphology.
