본 연구에서는 2010년부터 시작하여 총 네 차례의 국가 용역 사업으로 진행 중인 국제 통용 한국어 표준 교육과정(the International Standard Curriculum for Korean Language) 개발의 과정 및 결과를 정리하여 교육 시간, 교육 대상 등의 내용을 표준적인 교육과정 운영에서 가장 동떨어져 있는 한글학교 유아반의 교육과정에 실제적으로 적용해 보고자 하였다. 특히 본고에서는 재외 한글학교용 표준 교육과정에도 제외된 한글학교 유아반의 한국어 교육과정을 국제 통용 3단계 연구(2016)의 내용을 바탕으로 한글학교 유아반 1급 한국어 교육과정을 구성하였다. 이 과정에서 다양한 요구(need)를 ‘표준’이 담보해 낼 수 없으므로 ‘표준 교육과정’의 적용에 있어 융통성과 탄력성을 가지고자 노력하였다. 또한, 일반 성인 학습자와는 다른 재외동포 아동의 특성을 고려하여 아동의 인지 및 언어 발달 수준에 적합한 방법으로 쉽고 재미있게 한국어를 배울 수 있도록 교수요목을 구성하는 것에 초점을 두었다. 국제 통용 한국어 표준 교육과정의 1급에서 집중적으로 다루어지는 주제, 기능, 문화 등을 유아-아동 교육에서 중요하게 다루어지는 핵심 주제 요소에 맞추어 32주 교육 내용을 구성하였으며 한 주차의 교육 내용을 상세하게 제시하였다. 이를 통해 각 지역이나 기관마다 상이한 방식으로 이루어지던 한국어교육의 형식과 내용도 핵심적인 내용을 중심으로 일관성을 유지할 수 있게 되어 한국어교육 체계 및 구조를 재정립할 수 있을 것이라 생각한다.
The purpose of this research is to summarize the process and the results of the development of the International Standard Curriculum for Korean Language which had proceed in the National Service Business in total of four times since 2010, in addition to apply it practically to the curriculum of the nursery class in Hangul School which is the most distant from the standard curriculum operation such as the education time and the education target. The Korean language curriculum of the nursery class in Hangul School structured base on the contents of the third stage of the International Standard Curriculum study (2016), the characteristics ofthe children of overseas Koreans, the class management and the teachers were all considered. Since 'standard' can not guarantee the various of ‘needs’, this curriculum was tried to having flexibility and resilience in applying 'standard curriculum'. Furthermore, by considering the characteristics of the children from overseas Koreans who were different from the research target in adult, it was focused on the constructing the syllabus of lectures for the children who are before the cognition and language development stage can learn Korean language with fun easily by an appropriate method. Based on these contents, the Level 1ofthe Korean language curriculum for the nursery class in Hangul School was structured. In the Level 1 of the International Standard Curriculum for Korean Language was intensively covered the topics, functions, cultures and etc, adjust to the core topic elements which were important measurement in the preschooler education, the 32 weeks education content was structured and was presented in detail weekly. As a result, it is believed that the Korean language education system and structure will be reestablished base on the possible to maintain consistency of the core of contents and also the form and contents of the Korean language education which were done in different ways byeach region or institution.
