이 연구에서는 도덕성을 갖춘 정보 생산자를 기르고자 하는 정보윤리교육의 흐름에 따라 정보 생산자가 갖추어야 할 도덕적 역량을 설정하고, 그것을 타당하게 측정하는 방법을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 미국 ACRL 및 영국 SCONUL에서 발표한 정보 리터러시 개념과 도덕적인 행동을 산출하는데 관여하는 심리적 요인으로서 레스트의 4구성요소 및 나바에츠의 윤리적 기술에 특히 주목하였다. 그리고 이 개념들을 정합적으로 통합하여 정보 생산자가 갖추어야 할 도덕적 역량의 구조와 하위 요소를 설정하고 측정도구를 개발한 후, 정보 생산자로서 초등학생들의 도덕적 역량을 측정해보았다.
This study intended to set up moral competence required for information producers and searched for a method of its valid measurement. For the purpose of this, this study paid attention to concept of information literacy published by ACRL of America and SCONUL of the UK, as well as four component model of Rest, J. R. and ethical skill of Narvaez, D. as psychological factors which are involved in moral behavior. Moreover, by synthetically integrating these two concepts, this study set up subordinate factors of moral competence required for information producers and developing measurement tool oriented to elementary school students. Lastly, this study measured moral competence of elementary school students as information producers based on the developed measurement tool.
