제주도 서사무가 <당나미 문씨아기당 본풀이>는 제주도 표선면 가시리의 당신(堂神)본풀이이다. 본풀이의 서사단락을 살펴보면 여러 신의 양상이 복합적으로 얽혀 있다는 사실을 알 수 있다. <당나미 문씨아기당 본풀이>에 드러나는 신의 모습은 조상신의 모습과 유사성을 보이며 산신(山神), 당신으로서의 모습도 갖추고 있다. 조상신과 유사한 신의 성격을 드러내는 부분은 문씨아기의 출생과 신이한 능력, 제물(祭物) 등이 조상신 본풀이의 강신(降神)·원사(冤死) 유형에서 나타나는 모습과 동일하다. 산신과 유사한 모습이 드러나는 부분은 문씨아기가 산 속에 살면서 허포수와 만나는 과정에서 찾아볼 수 있다. 당신 중에 일뤳당신과 유사한 모습을 보이는 부분은 문씨아기가 길을 잃고 왕돌로 좌정하여 피부병을 낫게 하는 직능을 갖추는 모습에서 찾아볼 수 있다. 이런 복합적 신의 위상이 본풀이에 나타나는 이유는 가시리 마을 신앙과 인접 마을 신앙의 영향을 꼽을 수 있다. 가시리 서남쪽 경계면에 토산리가 위치하고 있다. 이 마을은 웃당인 일뤳당(七日堂)과 알당인 여드렛당(八日堂)을 가지고 있다. 가시리 역시 웃당인 일뤳당과 알당인 여드렛당을 가지고 있다. 이 당들이 가지고 있는 본풀이가 <당나미 문씨아기당 본풀이>에 영향을 끼친 것이다. 토산리 <웃당본풀이>·<알당본풀이>와 <당나미 문씨아기당 본풀이> 모두 당신들이 처녀신으로 나타나고 이들 신을 잘 모시지 않게 되면 흉험을 주는 신이라는 공통점을 가지고 있다. 이런 서사적 유사성과 지역적 유사성에 견인되어 <당나미 문씨아기당 본풀이>에 가시리와 토산리 본향당 신앙이 반영된 것이다.
A narrative myth of Jeju Island <Dangnami Munssi-Agidang Bonpuri> is Dangsinbonpuri of Gasi-ri Pyoseon-myeon Seogwipo-si Jeju-do. Looking into the narrative paragraphs of Bonpuri it can be shown that a mixed gods are intertwined in a complex manner. It is most similar to the feature of Josangsin, and the feature of Sansin, the feature of Dangsin are also shows up. When we divide the narrative paragraph, Munssi-Agi’s birth, mysterious ability, offerings etc have the same character as the Josangsin of JosangsinBonpuri. In the process of Munssi-Agi’s experiencing as a Sansin she met hunter Mr. Heo it can be easily found out the statue of Sansin. It is similar to Illetdangsin, Munssi-Agi got lost and be seated in a huge stone while she heals about skin disease of having religious belief of her. The reason why such a mixed god’s status appeared in this Bonpuri is the influence of the faith of the adjacent village. Tosan-ri Pyoseon-mueon Seogwipo-si Jeju-do has the belief of Illetdang and Yeodredang. It is also called that there are Ut-dang and Aldang. Ut-dang is Illetdang and Al-dang is Yeodredang. Compare to <Dangnami Munssi-Agidang Bonpuri>, there is a part similar to this Bonpuri. You have a common point like goddess giving ills and damages if these gods cease to greet well. Tosan-ri village faith was reflected in the regional, grandly similarity <Dangnami Munssi-Agidang Bonpuri>. The reason why it has narrative and regional common points.
