Technology commercialization capability plays such a critical role in successfully converting the performances from firms’ R & D activities into their actual revenues that a lot of studies have paid their special attention to the antecedents to firms’ technology commercialization capability so far, forming a research stream on the antecedents. The goal of this study is to widen the research stream on the antecedents to SMEs’ technology commercialization capability. By constructing the research model for the mediating impacts of the product interior design and the testing and inspection capability and analyzing the 2,000 data from the SMEs in the Republic of Korea, this research provides the following implications. SMEs’ product interior design capability fully mediates the positive effect of the external technology collaboration network diversity on their technology commercialization capability and their testing and inspection capability partially mediates it. Futhermore, SMEs’ product interior design capability and testing and inspection capability jointly and fully mediate the positive effect of the external technology collaboration network diversity on the technology commercialization capability.
