꾸란의 예수 이해와 하나님의 선교 정승현(주안대학원대학교, 선교학) 국문초록 급속한 성장세를 보이고 있는 이슬람은 기독교 선교의 최전선에 위치하고 있다. 오늘날 무슬림의 인구는 17억을 넘어섰고, 이 인구 중에 93%가 60세 이하이며, 무슬림이 주류인 국가가 57개국에 이른다. 이 막대한 무슬림들을 하나님의 나라로 초청하려면 반드시 그들이 어떻게 예수 그리스도를 이해하고 있는지에 관한 연구가 필수적이다. 무슬림들의 기본적인 입장은 유대교에서 예수를 폄하하거나 혹은 기독교에서 예수를 신성화시키는 것은 모두 왜곡된 것으로, 꾸란에서 나타난 예수의 모습이 온전한 것이라고 주장한다. 꾸란에는 성경과 유사하게 천사가 동정녀 마리아에게 나타나서 그녀를 통해 예수가 탄생할 것이 기록되어 있다. 그러나 꾸란에서 예수는 마리아의 아들로서 23차례나 언급되어 인간의 아들임을 강조하고 있다. 또한 꾸란에서 동정녀 마리아를 통해 예수가 탄생한 것은 단순히 하나님의 능력을 드러내는 사건이지 성육신과는 무관한 것으로 무슬림은 이해한다. 꾸란에는 예수가 하나님의 선지자라고 여러 차례 기록되어 있지만, 꾸란 61장 6절에 의하면 예수의 사명이 무함마드의 도래를 예언하는 것으로 기록되어 있다. 그리고 꾸란에서는 철저히 예수의 신성에 대해서는 부인한다. 또한 꾸란 4장 171절에 의하면, 이슬람은 기독교의 삼위일체를 삼신론으로 왜곡하여 이해하고 있다. 또한 예수가 하나님의 아들이라는 표현을 생물학적으로만 받아들인 나머지, 꾸란에는 예수가 하나님의 아들이라고 믿는 자들에게 대해 여러 차례 경고하고 있다. 절대 다수의 무슬림들은 예수가 십자가에서 죽지 않았다고 생각한다. 왜냐하면 하나님은 자신의 선지자를 죽도록 내버려 두지 않고, 원죄 교리가 없는 이슬람에서 인류의 죄를 대속하기 위해 예수가 십자가에서 죽을 이유가 없기 때문이다. 이로 인해 예수는 부활하지 않았고 곧바로 승천하였다가 후에 적그리스도를 심판하러 재림할 것이다. 그러나 최후의 심판자는 무함마드이고 예수는 무슬림의 선지자 중의 한 사람에 불과하다. 오늘날 무슬림들은 성경을 자신들의 경전과 비교하여 읽고 평가한다. 그리고 그리스도인이 자신들의 ‘올바른 길’로 돌아오도록 선교도 한다. 이러한 상황가운데 그리스도인들은 이슬람 관점의 기독교와 예수에 대한 명확한 이해를 가져야 하고, 아울러서 그러한 이해를 바탕으로 그들을 하나님의 나라로 초청하기 위한 성숙한 선교를 실천해야 한다.

However, the Quran narrated Jesus as a son of man by mentioning Jesus as a son of Mary as many as 23 times. Their understanding of the birth of Jesus through Virgin Mary was God's revealed power, not about any relations of incarnation of Jesus. In Quran, Jesus is a prophet, but according to Quran 61:6, his mission was prophesying Muhamad's coming. Additionally, the Quran denies the divinity of Jesus completely. In the Quran 4:171, it has distorted perception about the theory of the Trinity as it believes it is Tritheism. In Quran Jesus is not as the Son of God. The absolute majority of Muslims do not believe that Jesus died on the cross. Since God never let His prophet die on the cross and no doctrine of the ‘Original Sin’ exists in Islam, there is no reason why Jesus redeems human beings by death on the cross. Jesus did not die and ascended up into heaven by God. Jesus will come again to judge the anti-Christ. Yet, the ultimate judge is Muhammad and Jesus is just one of the Muslim prophets. Today, Muslims read and compare the Bible with their Quran and they do missionary work by leading Christians to ‘the right way.’ In such a situation, we Christians need to have a clear understanding of Jesus and Christianity in Muslim perspective in order to invite them to the Kingdom of God.
