The purpose of this study was to acquire implications concerned to experimental teaching expertise through the investigation on reflective thinking of pre-service teachers and in-service teachers in the bio-experiment class and to analyze the characteristics of each group. The investigation on reflective thinking has been conducted through analyzing experiment report and interviewing one pre-service teacher and one in-service teacher. As a result, it was found that the reflective thinking of the pre-service teacher and the in-service teacher were different from each other, and the factors affecting the reflective thinking were various values ​​such as individual values, experimental experience, and recognition of science and experiment. Experimental education in the teacher training process is important because the aspect of the experiment class changes according to the teacher’s perception and value of the experiment, and it affects the students. Therefore, in the process of teacher training, the pre-service teachers should experience the inquiry process directly, have a positive awareness of the experiment, and acquire knowledge about the experimental method and content so that they can develop confidence in the experimental class.
