본 논문에서는 현재 대학 글쓰기 교육의 상황을 비판적으로 살펴보고, 인지구성주의에 바탕을 둔 과정중심의 접근법을 심화하는 동시에 비판적 문식성을 강화하는 한편 대학생 학습자의 경험적 주체를 함께 고려하는 차원에서 ‘맥락적 글쓰기 모형’을 제안하고자 한다. 맥락적 글쓰기 모형은 맥코미스키가 고안한 ‘사회 과정 발견 학습’의 한 체험으로서, 저자와 비판 대상 간의 대화를 통한 상호작용을 촉진시키며, 그 상호작용의 결과로서 순응, 저항, 협상의 균형을 경험하는 점에서 반성적·성찰적 학습이다. <1단계 토론하기>는 기존 협의 중심이나 근거 중심으로 이루어진 찬성과 반대의 과정보다 학습자의 경험과 배경지식을 다양하고 자유롭게 공유하며 다른 학습자들의 입장을 듣는 동안 자신을 되돌아보고 생각을 조정해나가는 점에서 학습자 자신과 그를 둘러싼 맥락에 대한 총체적인 인식에 도달하도록 추동한다. <2단계 생산하기>는 글쓰기를 통해 오늘날 다양한 문화·사회적 변화 가능성이 열린 시점에서 자아정체성을 확립하고 이를 통하여 새로운 가치를 생산할 수 있는 방법을 터득한다는 점에서 유의미한 교수법이라고 할 수 있다. 후속적으로 토론 과정을 담은 녹화자료와 칼럼에 대한 분석과 피드백, 그리고 수정하기의 과정을 보완한다면, 교육 현장의 여건에 적용 가능한 효과적인 맥락적 글쓰기 모형이 정립될 것으로 기대된다.
In this study, we attempt to examine the present situation of university writing education, deepen the process–centered approach based on cognitive constructivism, strengthen critical literacy, and propose a ‘contextual writing model' in a perspective of considering the experiential subject of college students focusing on Bruce McComiskey’s theory. The contextual writing model is a reflective learning as an experience of 'social process discovery learning,' which stimulates interaction through dialogue between author and critic, and reflects the balance of adaptation, resistance, and negotiation as a result of the interaction. <Step 1 discussion> is to share the experience and background knowledge of the learner more variously and freely than the pros and cons of the existing consultation center or evidence-based, and to drive to reach a holistic perception of oneself and the context surrounding it in that one reflects oneself to adjust one’s idea while listening to other learners' opinions. <Step 2 production> is a meaningful teaching method in that it learns how to create new values through establishing self-identity at the time when the possibility of various cultural and social changes is opened through writing today. It is expected that an effective contextual writing model applicable to the conditions of the education field will be established if we supplement the process of analysis, feedback, and revision of the recording data and the column which encompass the discussion process subsequently.
