본 연구의 목적은 지역관광개발에 있어서 지역애착, 개발만족 그리고 개발 지지도에 관한 구조적 관계를 분석하는데 있다. 이를 위해서 강원도 남부지역의 정선, 태백, 삼척, 그리고 영월의 지역주민들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 지역애착의 개념은 지역 정체성, 지역 의존성, 그리고 사회적 결속 등 세 가지 요인으로 구분하였다. 이는 지역애착의 개념을 주로 하나의 요인 혹은 지역정체성과 의존도 요인으로 설명해온 기존 선행연구와 차별성을 갖는다. 분석결과 지역 의존성과 사회적 결속은 개발만족에 유의한 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 규명되었다. 아울러 개발만족은 개발 지지도에 유의한 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 규명되었다. 본 연구의 분석결과는 지역관광개발 추진에 있어서 정부나 지자체가 지역주민을 이해하는데 기여할 것으로 판단된다.
The purpose of this research is to examine the structural relationship among community attachment, development satisfaction, and support. A survey was conducted to residents of Jeongseon county, Taebaek city, Samcheok city, and Yeongwol county, which are located in southern Kangwon province. Community attachment was classified in detail as “community identity,” “community dependence,” and “social bonding.” They are distinguished classifications from preceding research. Community attachment was used to explain itself or classified in details as “community identity” and “community dependence” from preceding research. The SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) test results indicate that “community dependence” and “social bonding” have a positive influence on development satisfaction, and “development satisfaction” has a positive influence on “development support.” The results would help government officials understand community residents whenever tourism development issues arise.
