본 연구는 학교 문법 용어의 표상 방식을 유형화하고 각 문법 용어에 복수의 표상 유형이 상호 결합하는 양상을 확인하여 문법교육적 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 표상의 전형성과 투명성을 기준으로 문법 용어의 적절성을 평가하는 국어학과 달리 문법교육학에서는 단일한 기준으로 문법 용어를 평가할 수 없다. 문법교육에서는 문법 용어에 존재하는 다양한 표상성을 교육적으로 유의미한 방식으로 다루는 것이 중요하기 때문에 문법용어의 표상 유형에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 교과서 편수 자료에 제시된 학교 문법 용어를 대상으로 질적 분석 실시하여 표상 방식을 유형화하고, 군집분석을 통해 표상 유형의 상호 결합 양상을 확인하였다. 그 결과 학교 문법 용어의 표상 방식을 ‘직접성/간접성’, ‘관계성’, ‘중층성’ 차원에서 유형화하고 각 유형에 존 재하는 하위 유형을 상세화하였으며, 표상 유형의 결합 방식에 따라 총 6개의 군집이 존재함을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 문법 용어의 표상 유형과 표상 유형의 결합 양상을 규명함으로써 문법 용어가 갖는 교육적 기능을 체계화하고 확장하기 위한 기반을 마련하였다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
The purpose of this study is to derive grammar educational implications by typifying the way school grammar terms are represented and verifying the mutual combination pattern of multiple representation types in each grammar term. Unlike Korean linguistics, which evaluates the appropriateness of grammatical terms based on the typicality and transparency of representation, grammar terms cannot be evaluated on a single standard in grammar education. Since it is important to address the various representations in a grammar term in an educationally meaningful way in grammar education, it is necessary to study the types of representations of grammar terms. For this purpose, this study typified the representation method by conducting a qualitative analysis of school grammar terms in the editing material of textbook and confirmed the mutual binding pattern of the representation types through cluster analysis. As a result, representation methods of school grammar terms were typified at the levels of ‘directness/indirectness’, ‘relationship’ and ‘multi-layer’. Furthermore, the subtypes that exist in each type were specified. A total of 6 clusters were found in accordance with the combination method of representational types. This study has significance in that it provided the basis for systematizing and expanding the educational functions of grammar terms by identifying ‘the representation types’ and ‘the combination pattern of the representation type of grammar terms’.
