본 연구는 어머니의 양육 효능감과 독서 태도, 독서 지도가 유아의 읽기 태도에 미치는 영향을 구조적으로 분석하고, 유아의 성별에 따른 차이를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울과 경기도에 소재한 유아교육기관 15곳의 만 5세 유아 445명과 그의 어머니를 연구대상으로 하였다. 연구 분석은 변인 간의 관계를 파악하기 위하여 구조방정식 모형 분석 방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 어머니의 양육 효능감은 어머니의 독서 태도, 어머니의 독서 지도, 유아의 읽기 태도에 전부 정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 어머니의 독서 태도는 어머니의 독서 지도와 유아의 읽기 태도에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 반면 어머니의 독서 지도는 유아의 읽기 태도에 부적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 어머니의 양육 효능감과 유아의 읽기 태도간의 관계에서 어머니의 독서 태도는 정적인 간접효과를 나타냈고, 어머니의 독서 지도는 부적인 간접효과를 나타낸 반면 어머니의 독서 태도와 어머니의 독서 지도를 함께 살펴볼 때는 매개효과가 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 유아의 성별에 따라 어머니의 양육 효능감, 어머니의 독서 태도, 어머니의 독서 지도와 유아의 읽기 태도 간의 구조 관계는 차이가 없었다.
This research study will structurally analyze the effects of mother's parenting self-efficacy as well as that of her reading attitude and her reading guide on a young child's attitude towards reading. And it aims to examine the differences between young children's groups by genders. This research has targeted 445 children of age five from 15 preschool institute in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do Province and their mothers as subject of study. Research analysis was done on structure equation model analysis method in order to determine the relationship between different factors in effect. Research result according to research questions are as follows: First, Parenting self-efficacy of a mother had a static effect on all aspects of mother's reading attitude, her reading guide and reading attitude of her young child. Also, mother's reading attitude had a static effect on her reading guide and reading attitude of her young child. However, mother's reading guide had a negative effect on child's reading attitude. Secondly, in the relationship between mother's parenting self-efficacy and child's reading attitude, mother's reading attitude showed a static, indirect effect whereas mother's reading guide showed negative, direct effect. However, no mediating effect showed up in screening the whole reading attitude and reading guide of the mother. Thirdly, no difference in structure relation by genders was found among mother's parenting self-efficacy, her reading attitude, her reading guide and reading attitude of the young child.
