정부의 학교폭력 해결을 위한 대책에도 불구하고 초등학생들과 학교 밖 청소년들의 폭력 비율은 증가하고 있다. 학교폭력 해결책에 대한 새로운 변화를 모색할 필요가 있다. 지역사회가 중심적인 역할을 하여서, 학생들의 윤리문화를 성장시키는 기반을 형성하는 방안이 필요하다. 그것은 학생들의 윤리문화형성 및 변화에 학생 개인 및 학교, 지역사회가 영향을 주기 때문이다. 그간 학교 폭력에 소극적 차원에 머물렀던 지역사회가 학교폭력 해결의 주체로 적극적으로 참여하게 되면, 지역사회에서 발생하는 학교 폭력을 해결하는 교육적 기능을 회복할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 학생들을 위한 학습 공간으로서 역할도 적극적으로 수행할 수 있다. 이에 우리는 지역사회가 학교폭력 해결에 주체적으로 참여할 수 있는 방안으로 사회조사 방법인 CBPR(Community-Based Participatory Research)을 살펴보고, 이를 적용한 구체적인 사례를 조사·연구하였다.
This study was conducted to develop and implement a community-based participatory to solve school violence. This study describes how Community- Based Participatory Research(CBPR) principles were applied to solve school violence. Features of recent school violence is higher incidence of elementary school students violence than the other schools students. And it is increasingly the incidence rate of out-of school youth. So it is necessary to resolve school violence for essential cooperative participation and capacity building of local community members. We investigate community-based program that was developed and made progress along the principles of CBPR successfully.
