본 연구는 행정학 및 범죄학적 시각에서 우리나라 셉테드 정책집행의 실태와 셉테드 기법에 대한 범죄자의 행태를 분석하여 향후 한국형 셉테드 개발을 위한 정책적 과제를 제시하는데 그 목 적이 있다. 이를 위해 전국의 셉테드 담당 경찰관 및 서울시내 구청공무원에 대한 설문 및 면접 조사를 진행하였으며, 절·강도 재소자에 대한 설문 및 면접조사 또한 진행하였다. 조사결과 우 리 나름의 셉테드를 구축하기 위해서는 담당 공무원의 셉테드의 중요성에 대한 인식이 더욱 확대 될 필요성이 있으며, 유관기관간 협력강화, 콘트롤 타워의 정립, 서비스의 형평성 제고를 위한 주 민참여기제의 개발 등의 정책과제가 관리될 필요성이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 외국과 다른 범죄 및 사회환경하에서 우리 나름의 맥락을 가진 기초 및 실증연구가 꾸준히 진행될 필요성이 있는 것으로 나타났다.
From the perspective of Public Administration and Criminology, this study aims to suggest the policy alternatives to develop the Korean Style CPTED by examining the realities of CPTED policy implementation and the criminals’ behavior to the CPTED strategy. Surveys and interviews were conducted for three groups; police officers in nationwide, municipal officers in Seoul and larceny and burglary criminals in prison. Survey results imply that the policy alternatives below are employed and solved - strengthening the recognition of importance of CPTED among officers, constructing the CPTED governance, building the control tower of CPTED, making the mechanism of citizen participation, and developing the theoretical and empirical CPTED research corresponding the Korean context.
