본 연구는 3-5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서에 나타난 ‘북한’ 관련 교육활동의 목표, 누리과정 관련 내용 요소, 활동형태 및 유형을 분석준거에 의해 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 3-5세 누리과정 ‘북한’ 관련 교육활동의 목표 수는 총 21개로 나타났으며 그 가운데 북한과의 직접적인 관련성이 있는 목표 수는 15개로써 5세를 가장 비중 있게 다루고 있었다. 둘째, 3-5세 누리과정에 나타난 누리과정 관련 내용 요소는 사회관계 11개, 의사소통 10개, 자연탐구 7개, 신체운동․건강 1개, 예술경험 0개의 순으로 나타나 사회관계를 가장 비중 있게 다루고 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 셋째, 3-5세 누리과정의 활동형태 및 유형은 자유선택활동 5개, 대․소집단활동 3개, 바깥놀이 0개 순으로 나타났으며 ‘북한’ 관련 교육활동에서 바깥놀이 활동은 전혀 다루고 있지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 ‘북한’ 관련 교육활동을 계획하고 실천하고자 하는 3-5세 현장의 유치원 교사들에게 도움을 주고자 하며, 앞으로 다가올 남북통일을 준비하는데 바람직한 교육내용과 교수학습방법을 모색하는데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 의의가 있다.
This study analyzed Nuri curriculum related factors, activities form, and type of educational activities related to ‘North Korea’ contained in teachers’ guidebook of the Nuri curriculum for the ages of 3-5. According to the analysis results, the number of goals of educational activities related to ‘North Korea’ in Nuri Curriculum for 3-5 year olds totaled 21, and among them, the number of goals with direct correlation with ‘North Korea’ was 15 and mostly covered 5 year olds. Secondly, the Nuri curriculum related factors in the 3-5 year old Nuri curriculum included 11 social relations, 10 communication, 7 nature inquiry, 1 physical exercise and health area and 0 art experience that was identified to focus mainly on social relations. Thirdly, the activity form and type of Nuri curriculum for the ages of 3-5 included 5 free-choice activies, 3 large and small group activies, and 0 outdoor games that the outdoor activity was not conducted at all for ‘North Korea’ related educational activities. This is to provide help to kindergarten teachers of 3-5 year olds in planning and practicing educational activities related to ‘North Korea,’ and to provide preliminary data in searching for desirable educational contents and teaching-learning methods needed in preparing for the reunification of North and South Korea.
