대전엑스포는 “새로운 도약에의 길”을 주제로 하고부제로서 “전통기술과 현대과학의 조화”와 “자원의효율적 이용과 재활용”을 채택했다. 이는 앞으로 인류의 미래사회의 개척과 함께, 자연과 인간의 조화를 통해 풍요로운 삶을 영위해 나가고자 하는 염원의 표출이라 할 수 있다. 그러나 모든 행사가 종료된 지금의엑스포공원은 이후 활용계획을 제시하지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 엑스포과학공원의 성과분석과 현재 가장 큰 문제점 및 국외의 주제공원과 비교연구를 수행하여 엑스포 과학 공원의 당면한 문제를 해결해 지역주민의 활용을 높일 수 있는 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

This paper analyzes the performance of the ExpoScience Park, and currently the biggest problemand the country to perform a comparative study ofthe theme parks and the Expo Science Park tosolve the immediate problem, to increase the use oflocal residents to be suggesting.
