겸재 정선의 진경산수화는 조선조의 전통적인 실경(實景)산수화인 사경도(寫經圖), 그 중에서도 기행사경도(紀行寫經圖)의 전통적 조형요소들로부터 출발하여점차 독창적인 진경산수화(眞景山水畵) 양식으로 성립된 것이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 정선의 진경산수화는일반적으로 조선의 실경을 새로운 화풍으로 그린 산수화로 불리면서 성립과정에 내재한 기행사경도의 전통적 조형요소들은 간과되고 있다. 이에 본고에서는정선의 진경산수화에 선행하는 기행사경도로서 17세기 초엽에 그려진 것으로 추정되는 「관서명구첩(關西名區帖)」과 1644년에 그려진 <북관실경도(北關實景圖)>에 나타나는 기행주체의 ‘보는 시선’에 주목한다. 이 시선은 임모(臨摹)를 주로 했던 산수화에는 없었던 요소로서 이로 인하여 기행사경도의 화면에는시선에 조응하는 새로운 기법과 표현들이 나타난다. 본고에서는 이들이 겸재의 기행사경도에서 어떻게 계승 발전되어 진경산수화로 성립됐는가 하는 점을 겸재의 초기 기행사경도「신묘년 풍악도첩(辛卯年風樂圖帖)」과 중기를 대표하는「관동명승첩(關東名勝帖)」그리고 만년의 대표작으로서 <인왕제색도(仁王諸色圖)>의 구도와 필법을 통하여 분석한다. 이상의연구는 작품의 배경이론이나 작가설명 보다 작품의기법과 표현에 중점을 두면서 이미지를 위주로 하는작품 감상 및 창작에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.
Gyumjae's Jin-Gyung(the real condition) landscapepainting was gradually established to the creativeJin-Gyung landscape painting style starting from oneof Sageongdo, Kiheng Sageongdo's traditionalmodeling factors, which was Cho-Sun dynasty'straditional Sil-Gyung(the real scenary) landscapepainting. Nevertheless, while Gyumjae's Jin-Gyunglandscape painting is generally called landscapepainting which drew real scenary(Sil-Gyung) ofCho-sun in a new style, it overlooks KihengSageongdo's traditional formative factors which areincluded in the work. This paper focuses on<Kwansumeongguchup>, Kiheng Sageongdo precedingGyumjae's Jingyung landscape painting, which issuspected to be drawn in the early 17th centry and'looking perspective' of Kiheng subject which appearsin <Bukkwansilgeungdo> drawn in 1644. Thisperspective is a factor usually worked as a copy anddid not appear in landscape painting. Thus in KihengSageongdo's picture, appears new methods andexpressions corresponding to the perspective. Thispaper analyses how Kiheng Sageongdo wasinheritably developed and established to Jingyunglandscape painting through composition and brushstroke of <Shinmyonyun Pungakdochup>, Jungsun'searly Kiheng Sageongdo, <Kwandongmeungchup>which represents mid-period, and<Yinwangjeasaekdo>, the representive work of lateperiod. The above study is expected to helpappreciation of image oriented work focusing more ontechniques and expressions rather than backgroundtheory or author description and creation of the work.
