현대 예술작품은 하나의 장르에 국한되기보다 다양한 장르들의 결합을 통해 복합적이고, 새롭게 창출되고 있다. 다양한 장르들의 융 복합은 하나의 장르가극복할 수 없는 한계를 넘어, 새로운 영역으로의 도전과 확대를 의미한다. 본 작품은 하나의 작품 개념 하에, 설치와 영상, 설치와 애니메이션, 실사촬영영상과 애니메이션영상이결합된 연구결과로, 효과적 의미전달을 통해 관람자들에게 예술적 경험과 공감을 극대화하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 자료조사, 현장촬영, 작품제작이다. 자료조사는 인터넷, 전문잡지, 학술지 등을 검색하였으며, 현장촬영은 현지 탐방을 통하여 이루어졌다. 작품내용은 발코니와 스크린이 결합된 영상설치작업, 산타페지역의 영상이미지, 마운틴 발디(MountainBaldy)의 자연을 담은 애니메이션영상이다. 3개의 작품은 “여정”이라는 주제 하에 서로 간에 시너지효과를 가져다준다. 최종 연구결과는 장르의 경계를 넘어 하나의 작품이미지 창출에 집중하였으며, 예술적인 면을 뒷받침할수 있는 기술적 부분까지도 세밀히 검토하여 제작하였다. 향후 유사한 연구가 다양한 분야에서 활발히 진행되어짐에 따라, 연구자 뿐 아니라 관람자 모두에게 새로운 예술적 경험과 공감을 형성하는 계기가 되길 기대한다.
Modern art works are being created incombination of the diverse genres, not limited toone. The fusion or blending of the diverse genresgoes over the limit that one genre cannot overcome,and means the challenge and expansion into thenew realm. This work is a result of combining the installationand the moving images, the installation and theanimation, and the live shooting and the animation,under one work concept, with its objective toprovide fresh art experiences and to draw theempathy from the audience by fusing or blendingthe pieces. The study methods are research data, fieldfilming, and the work production. The research dataincludes researching the internet, the professionalmagazines, and the academic journals and for thefield filming, I visited the site. The contents are 3pieces with their integrated synergy effect producedunder the theme of "journey": the video installationwork combining the balcony and the screen, SantaFe area filming pieces, an animation piece with thescene of Mountain Baldy's nature. The final art work focuses on creating a workimage transcending the divisions of the genres,producing the art work with the artistic aspectbased on the technology aspects. I hope there willbe similar studies in diverse fields in the future andthat this will provide an opportunity for both theresearchers and the audience to get a new artexperience and to form a art empathy.
