본 연구는 제럴드 잘트먼이 제시한 심층메타포 이론을 미디어콘텐츠 스토리텔링의 서사적 연구에 적용한 연구이다. 즉 콘텐츠의 서사적 영역 속에서 스토리텔링의 통과의례의 역할을 설명하기 위한 것이기도하다. 본 연구의 목적은 심층메타포 키워드를 통해서서사적 스토리텔링의 통과의례의 유형을 제안하는 것이며, 스토리텔링 및 미디어콘텐츠의 제작에 실질적인도움을 주기 위한 것이다. 본 연구의 범위로는 역사이야기를 비롯해 신화, 전설, 민담, 전해 내려오는 옛 이야기며, 통과의례를 적용할 수 있는 대표성이 있는 이야기다. 또한 현대 미디어콘텐츠의 범위는 영화, 애니메이션, 게임 등에서의 대표성이 있는 작품으로 설정했다. 이번 연구의 의의는 스토리텔링의 구조를 적용해서심층메타포의 구조를 유형화한 것이며, 일반적인 서사적 구조를 기반으로 영웅의 통과의례를 설명하고자했다. 심층메타포가 적용된 스토리텔링의 구조는 발단, 전개, 위기, 절정, 결말을 포함하는 서사적 구조로서, 심층메타포는 스토리의 심장과도 같은 역할을 한다. 잘트먼의 심층메타포는 균형, 전환, 여행, 상자, 연결, 자원, 통제 등이며, 심층메타포가 적용된 서사적규칙의 과정은 미디어콘텐츠의 스토리텔링을 제작할때, 실제적이면서도 매우 유용한 방법이라할 수 있다. 이 연구를 기반으로 미디어콘텐츠의 제작방법론을 연구하고 창작하는데, 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.
This is a study on narrative theory of mediacontent storytelling that applied by depth metaphortheory of Professor Gerald Zaltman. This approachis to explain the storytelling role of the rite ofpassage in the narrative content area. The purpose of this study is to offer the types ofthe rite of passage in the narrative storytellingthrough the keyword of depth metaphor, and I wantto give practical help to media content productionand storytelling production. Scope of this study is the old story comes myth,legend, folklore, history, as well as tell the storydown. And this is a story that can be applied to arepresentative range of rites of passage. The range of contemporary media content is arepresentative works of film, animation, gamestorytelling. The significance of this study is typed asstructure of depth metaphor based on storytellingstructure. I want to explain the hero's rite ofpassage is a general narrative structure based. The storytelling structure is that applied depthmetaphor is narrative structure that includingbeginning, deployment, crisis, climax, and ending. and depth metaphor is like heart for the Narrativestructure. The depth metaphor is a Balance andTransformation, Journey, Container, Connection,Resource, Control, etc. This Process of narrative rules that applied bydepth metaphor is a practical and applicable methodwhen developing storytelling of media content. Therefore, I expected to be substantial help instudy and production methodology of media content.
