The purpose of this research is to propose management strategies of urban forest fire (FF) at integrated Chungju city. To do that, this research deduced priority area for FF management (PAFFM) based on various spatial analysis using geographic information system such as logistic regression analysis, area solar radiation analysis, viewshed analysis, and so on. PAFFM was defined considering three factors together, high occurrence probability of FF, large spread probability of FF, and non surveillance area for FF detection. This study proposed these strategies 1) tailored FF management according to land use pattern, 2) continuos forest management prescription, 3)installation of FF surveillance facilities, 4) strengthening FF prevention education, 5)integration of urban fire and FF management system, and 6) building a scientific FF prevention monitoring system. The results of this research may contribute to FF prevention policy and FF responding ability, and the researchmethodwill be available to apply at other cities.
