AB - While VP-ellipsis is frequent in English, VP-anaphora prevails in Korean. The goal of this paper is to provide a constraint-based analysis for the VP-anaphora in Korean. This paper adopts Egg et al. (2001)'s Constraint Language for Labmda Structure (CLLS) and develops the algorithms for finding the antecedent of the conjunction VP-anaphora. This paper shows that the English VP-ellipsis within the CLLS system can be adopted for the Korean VP-ellipsis in a similar fashion even though the two languages are typologically different.
