본 연구는 국립과천과학관 어린이탐구체험관의 전시물을 분석하고 각 전시물에서 보이는 관람 행동 유형에 대해 조사·분석하여 전시물의 특성에 따라 어떤 행동 유형을 보이는지 알아보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 국립과천과학관 어린이탐구체험관의 총 39종의 전시물을 내용적, 형태적 측면에서 조사․분석하였다. 관람행동유형은 관람객이 전시관에 들어올 때부터 나가는 순간까지 추적 조사하여 각 전시물에서 머무르는 시간을 조사하였고, 관람객의 행동을 5가지 행동유형으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 과학관 전시물의 특성과 관람객이 보이는 행동유형 사이에는 연관성이 있다는 점을 알 수 있었다. 관람형태로서 수동적인 전시물보다는 능동적인 형태의 전시물을 관람하는 것을 더 선호하였으며, 능동적 형태의 전시물이 유인력과 점유력이 높았고 유의미한 행동유형도 더 많이 나타났다.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the behavior patterns of the observed visitors influenced on the exhibits in the ‘science park for kids' section of the National Gwacheon Science Museum. As a part of this study total 39 sorts of exhibits in the ‘science park for kids' section of the National Gwacheon Science Museum were researched and analyzed based on the contents and forms of the exhibits. For the purpose of analyzing the behavior patterns the visitors were observed as long as they stay at the museum. As a result, the time consumed at each exhibit was estimated and 5 behavior patterns were founded and analyzed. As a result of the study, it turned out that there was close relationship between the exhibits at the museum and the behavior patterns of the visitors. Also, it showed that the visitors preferred seeing the active type exhibits to the passive type.
