2010년 11월 교육과학기술부에서 공시한 통계자료에 의하면 국내에 거주하는 국제결혼가정자녀(30,040명, ‘09년 대비 21.4% 증가)와 외국인 근로자 자녀(1,748명,‘09년 대비 37.6% 증가)의 수가 기하급수적으로 늘어나고 있기 때문에 다문화 교육과 다문화 연수에 대한 관심과 노력이 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 따라서 본 연구는 강원도 지역 유치원 교사 30명과 초등학교 교사90명을 대상으로 한 다문화 연수프로그램의 개발과정과, 운영 후 프로그램 효과를 파악하고자연수에 참여한 교사들의 효능감 향상 정도를 설문을 통해 분석하였다. 개발한 다문화 연수 프로그램은 문헌 분석과 기존 연구를 토대로 프로그램의 내용을 3개 영역, 16∼17개 주제, 총 30시간의 강좌로 구성하였다. 프로그램은 특강과 이론 및 워크샵, 문화체험 등으로 운영하였는데 이는 최근 교사 연수 프로그램의 효과를 극대화시키기 위해 강의식연수에서 탈피하여 다양한 연수 방법을 도입하고 있음을 반영한 것이다. 또한 개발한 프로그램이 교사의 다문화 역량 증진에 기여하는지 분석하고자 다문화 효능감에 관한 사전-사후 검사와연수운영 및 프로그램에 대한 만족도 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 연수 프로그램 적용 후 교사들의 다문화 교수 효능감이 매우 향상되었으며, 만족도가 높게 나타나 본 연구에서 계획하였던연수 프로그램의 목적을 대체적으로 달성하였음을 알 수 있었다. 추후 연구에는 교사들이 지속적으로 지원받을 수 있는 환경과 낮은 교육 경력과 연령, 다문화연수 경험 유무 등을 고려하여 다양한 트랙을 마련, 학습자 중심의 질적으로 향상된 연수 프로그램을 개발하는 노력이 요구된다.
According to the statistical data announced by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in November 2010, there is a geometrical growth recently in the number of children of international marriage (30,040, increased by 21.4% over 2009) and children of foreign workers (1,748, increased by 37.6% over 2009). Accordingly, there were also a tremendous interested in multicultural training and education to raised multicultural sensitivity and teaching capacity by directed experience of various cultures beyond class boundary. This study aims to make a suggestion for program development and progress direction after analyzing efficacy of teachers who participated in the program development process and operation of multicultural training program to 30 nursery school teachers and 90 elementary school teachers in Gangwon-do. The multicultural training program consisted of 3 sections, 16∼17 themes and 30 hours class based on literature analysis and existing researches. The program included special lecture, theoretical lesson, workshop and cultural experience which reflected various training methods beyond lecture-based training to maximize its effectiveness. Pre-test and post-test of multicultural efficacy were carried out to analyze multicultural capacity of the program. As a result, it showed the program was effective to develop teachers' multicultural teaching efficacy after the application of training program. And the satisfaction research of the program was performed to improve quality after reviewing needs and reaction of teachers. It showed overall high satisfaction in achieving the aim of training program
