This study aimed to look for ways in which society help divorced immigrant women to live a member of our society. For this purpose, researcher analyzed life histories of 6 divorced foreign wives who are the matriarch of single parent family. The data were analyzed according to Mandelbaum(1983)'s analysis method: Dimensions, turnings, adaptation. The results were as follows: The concepts of dimensions were ‘family connected to blood’, ‘meeting of the same nationality(help group)’, ‘employment’, ‘social welfare service system’. The ones of turnings were ‘escape and exit’, ‘preparing the right to live socially’, ‘reconstruction of social identity’. The ones of adaptation were ‘foreign mother who takes care of korean child’, ‘new working poor group’, ‘supranational network system’, ‘being reborn as a subject of the right’. Based on these results, researcher made practical and political suggestions.
