본 연구는 청소년인 중학생 아들을 둔 아버지를 대상으로 아버지의 원가족 부자 애착관계, 결혼만족도, 자녀와의 가족여가 그리고 직무몰입이 아버지의 부모효능감에 미치는 영향력을 알아보고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위해 남자 중학생 자녀가 있는 직장인 아버지를 대상으로 최종적으로 165명의 자료를 수집하여 상관관계 분석과 위계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 상관관계 분석 결과 중학생 아들을 둔 아버지의 부모효능감은 결혼만족도와 원가족 부자 애착관계 그리고 직무몰입과 유의한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타나 중학생 아버지의 결혼만족도가 높을수록 원가족에서 부자 애착관계가 강할수록 그리고 현재 직장에서 직무에 대한 몰입이 클수록 중학생 아들에 대한 부모효능감이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 위계적 중다회귀분석 결과 중학생 아들을 둔 아버지의 부모효능감에는 원가족의 부자애착 관계와 결혼만족도, 그리고 현재 직장에서의 직무몰입이 유의한 영향력을 미치며 그 가운데 결혼만족도가 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 중학생 아들을 둔 아버지의 부모효능감에는 결혼만족도와 원가족에서의 부자간 애착관계와 같은 가족관련 요인과 직무몰입과 같은 직업관련 요인이 중요한 것으로 나타났으며 중학생 아들과의 여가활동은 아버지의 부모효능감에 통계적인 유의성은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 중학생 아들을 둔 아버지의 부모효능감은 청소년 아들과의 직접적인 상호작용보다는 아내와의 결혼만족과 과거 어린 시절 자신의 아버지와의 애착관계 그리고 현재 직장에서의 직무가 더 중요한 영향을 미치며 의미를 갖는다는 점을 보여주는데 이는 중학생 아들을 둔 아버지가 정작 자신이 중학생 아들과는 직접적인 애착관계를 맺을 수 있는 가족여가와 같은 활동보다는 과거 원가족에서의 부자간의 애착관계나 배우자와의 관계나 직무몰입과 같은 간접적인 방식으로 부모효능감을 느끼고 있음을 시사한다.
The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the relationship with father attachment in family of origin, marital satisfaction, leisure activities with adolescent son and job involvement on parental efficacy of fathers with adolescents. A total of 165 fathers with adolescent son in middle school responded to the questionnaire which included the following scale: parental efficacy, attachment relationship with father in family of origin, marital satisfaction, leisure activities with adolescent son and job involvement. Data were analyzed by SPSS including hierarchial multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: Marital satisfaction was the most influential factor in explaining parental efficacy of fathers with adolescent son. Also, father-son attachment in family of origin and job involvement were significant in parental efficacy of fathers. Leisure activities with adolescent son had no statistical significant influence in parental efficacy of fathers in spite of its importance in real family life. These findings suggest that family-related factors such as marital satisfaction and the family of origin relationship like father-son attachment and work-related factor like job involvement should be considered to enhance parental efficacy of fathers with adolescents.
