본 연구는 통일 사회 지향적인 민주 시민 교육 활동 프로그램 모형 준거 개발을 목적으로 도시와 농촌 지역 유치원의 일일교육계획안에 나타난 통일 교육과 민주 시민 교육 내용, 각 교육 내용의 집단 유형, 각 교육 내용의 단위 활동 유형을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 일일교육계획안에 나타난 통일 교육 내용 범주는 도시 지역 유치원의 경우 분단과 전쟁, 북한 사회와 주민 생활에 대한 관심 가지기와 이해하기, 화해와 협력, 평화와 통일, 평화와 화합이었으며, 농촌 지역 유치원의 경우 분단과 전쟁과 평화와 통일로 분석되었다. 한편 민주 시민 교육 내용 범주는 도시와 농촌 지역 유치원 모두 인간의 존엄성, 공공 질서와 기본 생활 습관, 자문화와 타문화 이해, 합의를 도출하게 하는 과정과 절차, 합리적 의사 결정 능력으로 분석되었다. 집단 유형에 있어서도 도시와 농촌 지역 유치원 모두 통일 교육 내용과 민주 시민 교육 내용 각각은 대집단 유형을 중심으로 이루어지며, 단위 활동 유형에 있어 도시와 농촌 지역 유치원 모두 통일 교육 내용은 이야기 나누기 활동을 중심으로, 민주 시민 교육 내용은 이야기 나누기와 자유 선택 활동을 중심으로 이루어지는 것으로 분석되었다.


The purpose of this study was to offer development criteria for a model civic education activity program for reunification education in kindergartens. To achieve this purpose, the content of reunification and democratic civic education in the timetable of rural and urban region kindergartens were first analyzed. Second, group types of reunification and democratic civic education were analyzed. Third, unit activity types for reunification and democratic civic education were analyzed. The subjects of this study were the first year timetables used for teaching at two kindergartens in a rural region and two kindergartens in a urban region As a result of the study, first the content of reunification education were division and war, interesting and understanding society and inhabitant life of North Korea, reconciliation and cooperation, peace and reunification, and peace and harmony in a rural region and division and war and peace and harmony in a urban region. The content of democratic civic education were dignity of mankind, public order and fundamental habits, Korean and foreign culture understanding, procedures for reaching agreements, and ability of rational decision-making at both regions. Second, reunification and democratic civic education content were practiced mostly in large groups at both regions. Third, reunification education content was largely practiced in group discussion activities and democratic civic education content was predominately practiced in group discussion and free play time activities at both regions.
